We are having a reunion (Michelle Deubel Roderick (Monica Flynn Deubel's daughter) and I, Marcia Flynn Tyrrell (Greg Flynn's eldest daughter) and I have decided the reunion is going to be this year. If you can't make it, you can always plan another!
Having given the idea of organizing a reunion a great deal of thought--especially how we can meet everyone's needs as best we can, I've created this website/blogspot so that we can all collaborate. That means, I'll set things up so everyone can create links to themselves and add their own family history for all of us to share. Don't worry! My real life job is helping people to do just this. We will collaborate online and come to a consensus about where to meet up for a reunion, but also enabling everyone to contribute to our shared family history.
When 8 cousins from the USA visited each other and Ireland in 2005, we had a great time renewing our acquaintances with each other and with the "Irish Cousins" in Sligo and Dublin. Hopefully, we can all reunite. Now I know, cousin Benny in Sligo, who lives on the ancestral lands, has kept up a journal and correspondence with other Flynn family members, including those who are now in Australia, is keen on the Internet, as is Michael and Kathleen in town. Hopefully, everyone will join in with some history for us on this site. It is up to you to send this to everyone you are related to! EVERYONE!
